Noble House Press was registered in 2025, in Galicia, Spain, to publish one kind of book: literary historical fiction that treats the past as unfinished business.
It began with a single author's work — Kyle Alexandre Struan's Broken Flag Saga, a fourteen-part alternate history spanning roughly five hundred years, followed through a single lineage. Publishing that kind of project properly meant starting a press built specifically for it, rather than trying to fit it into a house built for something else.
What we're looking for
We publish novels and story collections where real research shapes real narrative tension, not just the backdrop. We're drawn to work that treats the historical record as unfinished business: stories where the line between what happened and what's invented is handled with care, and disclosed to the reader rather than blurred for convenience. We're not interested in costume-drama history — we want the version where the research shows in the tension, not just the scenery.
What we're not
We're not a large house, and we're not trying to become one quickly. Every title, cover, and translation to publish so far has passed through the same hands. That's either a limitation or a standard, depending on how it's kept — we intend to keep it as a standard for as long as the size of the house allows it.
Why the past keeps refusing to stay finished
We publish in English and in Spanish, because some stories belong to more than one language, and because the histories we're interested in — conquest, civil war, displacement, the slow work of empires ending — rarely stayed inside one border or one tongue to begin with. Every title we publish will carry a note on its sources, because where the history ends and the invention begins is a line that matters to us more than it does to most historical fiction.
